The Auto Discover Wizard is used to detect and add devices and sensors to the WEMS system, so that they can be viewed and controlled via the main user interface. You should run the wizard multiple times to detect each device and sensor in turn.
The Auto Discover Wizard leads on to the Channel Setup Wizard, but the two wizards should be treated as separate features of the system. The Channel Setup Wizard can be run independently of the Auto Discover Wizard, via the Modules Layer.
Before running the Auto Discover Wizard, you should Make A Floorplan for the entire property.
The best-practice approach is to use the Auto Discover Wizard to detect all battery-powered devices first and all mains-powered devices last.

Auto Build
Auto Build is a feature that speeds up the process of configuring channels on a device. For more information, see Auto Build.
Although it is good practice to make a backup of the system whenever making a significant change, the device discovery process will now automatically back up new devices. This means that devices should not be lost from the system when the system is rebooted. Manual backups are still required in order to ensure that smart IO Objects built on devices are retained after a reboot.
