Auto Discover Battery-Powered Sensor

This example shows the steps necessary to discover a battery-powered sensor.

1. From the Floorplan, go to Discovery | Auto Discover.
2. Click Next to begin the Auto Discover Wizard.

3. We now have 60 seconds to press the Signal Test button on the device.

This example shows the detection of the ASD09N4R WEMSroom Temperature Sensor. The Signal Test button on the circuit board of the sensor must be pressed in order to move on to the next step of the Auto Discover Wizard. The process will stop if the Auto Discover Wizard does not detect a device within 60 seconds.

4. Press the Signal Test button on the sensor.

5. The device will be discovered. Click Next.

6. The device will be configured. Click Next.

7. Give the device an asset name, and then click Next.

8. Choose a room for the device, and then click Next.

The discovery of the device is now complete. The following options are now available:

• Auto Build: used for setting up room temperature and battery voltage analogue channels on temperature only sensors
• Auto Build FAHU: used for setting up an FP AHU with fresh-air only cooling (not available for battery-powered sensors)
• Yes: used to run the Channel Setup Wizard
• Restart: used to discover further devices

Next Steps

The Auto Discover Wizard is now complete. Click the Yes button to move on to the Channel Setup Wizard:
