  1. Auto Discover WEMScontroller3.
  2. Run Channel Setup Wizard To Configure Analogue Outputs.
  3. Run Channel Setup Wizard To Configure Analogue Inputs.
  4. Run FanCoil Discover Wizard.
  5. Configure FanCoil Control Points.

This guide covers the first-time setup of a FanCoil, and assumes that a WEMScontroller3 has already been discovered and set up, that the FanCoil Discover Wizard has been run and that the FanCoil control points have been defined.

The final step in getting the FanCoil to function as desired is to define a Schedule. FanCoils have their own particular types of Schedule and are not controlled by a standard Temperature Schedule alone. Instead, FanCoils are controlled by two Schedules that work together: one to control on/off times, the other to control the temperature.

To configure a Schedule for the FanCoil, do the following:

  1. Go to Edit | Schedule Settings.
  2. Select AHU/FanCoil in the top-left of the Schedules screen.

First-time setup

  1. Create a new Schedule, using any meaningful name.
  2. Set the Schedule's desired on/off times.
  3. Tick the FanCoil in the AHU_Description box.

First-time setup

  1. Click the Return Temp button.
  2. Create a new Schedule to control the desired return temperature, using any meaningful name.
  3. Set the desired return air temperatures.
  4. Tick the FanCoil in the AHU_Description box.

First-time setup

  1. Click Home to complete.

The Schedule setup is now complete and you will now be returned to the Floorplan.

Whenever you click the FanCoil on the Floorplan, you will now see one of the two new Schedules appear at the bottom of the FanCoil Control Screen. A button labelled either Setpoint Schedule or On/Off Schedule will allow you to toggle the view between the two Schedules that control the FanCoil.
