Heating Schedules - Deadband-controlled

It is best practice to create a Heating Schedule only after you have first created all necessary Heating Zones, as the Schedule will need to be assigned to a Zone in order to function.

To create a Deadband-controlled Heating Schedule:

  1. Go to Edit | Schedule Settings.

The Schedules screen will appear.

  1. Make sure that Heating Zones is selected in the top-left corner.
  2. Beneath Heating Zones, click either arrow button to change Zones to Deadband.

All available Deadband-controlled Zones will be listed in the Zone_Description box.

  1. Click Create New.

Define on-off periods for the Heating Schedule

  1. Enter a meaningful name for the new Schedule, and then click Submit.
  2. Define on and off times for the Zone by using the drag handles on the bar graph at the bottom of the screen.

Drag handles on each side of the blocks can be used to alter the settings for each part of the Schedule. The Insert and Delete buttons in the Period section can be used to add and remove blocks to and from the graph.

The Inverse button can be used only with time versus on/off Schedules, and works when there is only a single On or Off block on the graph – clicking the button toggles an On period to Off and vice versa.

  1. Click Deadband.

The bar graph will now change to display a time versus temperature profile.

Define temperature blocks for the Heating Schedule

  1. Define the desired temperature setpoints by using the drag handles on the bar graph at the bottom of the screen.
  2. In the Zone Description box, tick all the Deadband-controlled Zones to which you would like to apply the new Heating Schedule.
  3. Click Apply Changes (if it appears), and then click Home to exit the Schedules screen and return to the Floorplan.
