Relay Channel

The Relay Channel screen can be reached as follows:

  1. From the Floorplan, go to the Modules Layer.
  2. Click on a device that supports relays.
  3. Click Show Channels.
  4. Click the Relay row.

Any channels that have been configured via the Channel Setup Wizard will be shown in the Relay Channels table. Click any item in the table to view more information in the Relay Settings section.

The Relay Settings section displays the following information:

Seq ID

The unique ID of the channel in the database

Device ID The ID of the selected device
Channel Ref The number of the selected channel
Orientation To represent how the relay has been physically wired: Fail Off (Normally Open) or Fail On (Normally Closed)
Type The type of relay to be used
  • Toggle: the relay will simply toggle on and off
  • Pulsed: when enabled the relay will 'pulse' on for a select amount of time between 2-25 seconds then turn off again
  • Delay Off: when the relay is instructed to turn off it will be stay on for the delay off time (between 1-3000 seconds)
Time The pulse or delay time
Digital Control Allows the user to enable/disable digital control
Digital Object The digital object that the relay is linked with
Control Type The type of digital control to be used:
  • Object Track: the relay will copy what status the digital is (on when on, off when off)
  • Object Invert Track: the opposite of the above and the relay will do the opposite of what the digital is doing (off when on, on when off)
  • Object On when High: an object relay that will enable if the digital input is on/high ONLY. It will not do anything when the digital is low.
  • Object Off when High: an object relay that will disable when the digital is on/high ONLY. It will not do anything when the digital is low
  • Object Off when Low: an object relay that will disable when the digital is off/low ONLY. It will not do anything when the digital is high
  • Object On when Low: an object relay that will enable when the digital is off/low ONLY. It will not do anything when the digital is high

Click Update to apply any changes to the settings.

To return to the default view of the Modules Layer, click Show Layout button.
