SMS Messaging

The WEMS system allows you to send notes and alerts to clients. As long as the system has been configured to allow SMS messages to be sent (see SMS Settings) the process is easy.

Exercise care when using the SMS Messaging feature. Sent messages will be recorded in the SMS Outgoing Log and cannot be erased from there unless the entire system is reset.

To send an SMS message:

  1. Go to Tools |SMS Messaging.
  2. Enter the client's mobile telephone number in the Message Recipient field.
  3. Enter the desired text into the Message Text field (max. 160 characters).
  4. Enter some text into the Message Status field in order to indicate the type of message being sent.
  5. Click the Send button.
