Users

This feature allows you to change the username and password of the user profiles that can be used to access the WEMS user interface. Most installations will be controlled by a single administrator login but it is possible to configure separate user profiles in order to provide restricted access rights to others.

It is not possible to create new user profiles via the WEMS user interface itself – these would need to be created in the back-end database that runs the system.

To edit the usernames and passwords of existing user profiles:

  1. Go to Edit | Users.
  2. Select the profile you wish to edit via the dropdown menu.

The type of profile selected will be shown in the grey User Level field. The profile types are Admin (full privileges), User (basic privileges) and View (read-only privileges).

Use the User Profiles window to edit access rights for users

  1. On the left of the window, enter a new username and/or password for the selected profile.
  2. On the right of the window, enter an administrator username and password.
  3. Click Submit and then close the window.

The new username and/or password will be available to use immediately.
